Women Impacting Storebrand Excellence™ Hosts Annual Meeting Featuring Tom Matson, Senior Director of Executive Leadership – Gallup Press and Nancy Cota, VP, Own Brands Product Management, Albertson’s

November 13, 2016 (Rosemont, Illinois) Women Impacting Storebrand Excellence™ (WISE), the non-profit professional development organization fostering diverse collaboration in the store brands industry, is pleased to host their fourth annual meeting and award the 2016 Top Women in Store Brands honorees on Sunday, November 13 at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare, in conjunction with the PLMA show.

“Advancing diversity and professional development in store brands industry leadership are the founding principles of the WISE organization and our key reasons for being.  As guiding business principles, diversity and inclusion have a positive impact on business productivity and supports a successful bottom-line,” says Peggy Davies, Chair, Board of Directors for WISE.

Keynote speaker, Tom Matson, Senior Director of Executive Leadership – Gallup Press, will lead over 200 store brand professionals in discovering powerful strategies to greatly increase positive interactions and experiences in the workplace.  Tom brings a wealth of leadership expertise and insight, including his TEDx platform that reaches thousands. He will share key strategies from the #1 New York Times bestseller How Full Is Your Bucket.  WISE leadership is pleased to give each annual meeting attendee a copy of this bestseller that reflects over 50 years of research in the area of human interaction and productivity.

WISE annual meeting is also honored to welcome a prominent store brands industry leader – Nancy Cota, Vice President, Own Brands Product Management, Alberston’s Companies – to the stage.  Nancy will share her 40+ years of professional challenges and successes, while inspiring the WISE audience to own their attitude and stay “All Fired Up”!

The WISE annual event will showcase the 2016 Top Women in Store Brands honorees selected for their achievements in seven categories from among the nation’s leading store brand retailers, manufacturers, brokers, and suppliers.  The recognition program is co-sponsored by WISE and Chicago, Illinois-based EnsembleIQ, publishers of Store Brands magazine.

Gayle Dimaggio, director of private label, Stremick’s Heritage Foods, Lifetime Achievement Award.

Anne Readhimer, senior director, fresh food innovation, 7-Eleven Inc., Innovation Award.

Searcy Menick, private label brand manager, Sprouts Farmers Market, Sparkplug Award.

Terri Muzzy, household category manager, Ahold USA, Marketing/Merchandising Award.

Susan Thostenson, international customer service manager, Seneca Foods Corp., Operations Award.

Catherine Proper, senior director of product development/quality assurance/regulatory, Supervalu Inc., R&D/QA Award.

Susan Hunsaker, director of business development, Daymon Worldwide, Sales Award.
